Hawk

Hawk floated in the sky.

Currents buoyed and buffeted,

Kept it hanging high,

Wings parted wind like water.

Fuelled by beak and talon

Driven by the blood pumped hunger in its eye

It searched the ground below,

Rapacious raptor hunting.

The prey in burrow bind,

Sat shivering in the shadow cast.
